Key points to note while applying for visa
- Apply before three months of planned departure
- You can stay up to 6 months and you can also extend your visa when you are for medical or academic purpose.
- You can also apply for long term visitor visa if you are planning to visit UK for the period of 2, 5 or 10 years. You can stay for a maximum of 6 months during every visit.
Key Points about this visa
- You cannot work on the visitor visa.
- This visa allows you to travel and stay across Australia.
- The visa is usually issued for a period between 3 months to one year.
Documents required for UK visitor visa
- Passport: Old passport if any copy of all data pages Original Passport which should be valid for the intended stay and must have 2 back to back blank pages for visa stamping
- Visa Application Form: duly filled visa application form
- Cover Letter: Covering letter from Applicant stating name of the applicant, designation, nationality, passport number, purpose of visit, period of stay with dates and saying that all the expenses including medical, boarding and lodging will be borne by the Applicant Letter should be on a plain paper if employed person and on letterhead of the company if self-employed.
- Financial Document: Original bank statement for last 6 months with stamp and Sign. Income tax return for last 3 years. Other financial papers like proof of investment in shares or mutual funds, property paper, Fix Deposit Receipts etc.
- If Employed: 3-month Salary slip and NOC from employer.
- If Self Employed: Registration proof / Partnership deed / MOA of the Company
